Description
DIY Mini Silo Drum Base
Your Ultimate Animal Feeding Solution
Turn any standard 220L (44-gallon) drum into a practical, back-saving feed dispenser with our DIY Mini Silo Drum Conversion Pack.
Designed and made in Moriac, Victoria, this clever system raises your drum off the ground, allowing you to dispense feed from the bottom – keeping it fresh, dry, and rotated. No more bending, no more scooping, and no more wasted feed (or wasted drums!).
Made from galvanised steel, it’s tough, lightweight, and built to last. It seals to your drum with precision, helping to keep rodents and moisture out. All you need is your drum and a few basic tools (no welding gear or special equipment).
Whether you’re feeding chooks, horses, pigs, goats, dogs, or any other animal, this is a practical, Aussie-made solution that’ll save your back and protect your feed.

How to install
Our Mini Silo Drum Base is straightforward to set up – just four simple steps and you’re on the way to easy feeding!
- Prepare your drum: Cut the base out of your 220L (44-gallon) drum. (Can be metal or plastic, but must have a 600mm base).
- Assemble the base: Attach the 4 legs to the cone using the included bolts and rivets.
- Mount the drum: Place the drum evenly onto the cone and align it so there’s an even gap all around. Optional: Add a bead of silicone for a fully sealed fit.
- Secure with hooks: Use the supplied hooks and brackets to fix the drum to the cone. Tighten evenly (about two turns each) – do not overtighten.
